Twin Plug conversion How much do you gain?
When you have snap open the throttle, A lot of fuel and air enter the combustion chamber and do not burn straight away.
It takes best part of 25 yards before the chamber clears out the excess fuel, before the engine efficiently returns. This is where a twin plug conversion plays it's part.
Consider two identical race bikes, One fitted with a twin plug conversion and one without.
The converted bike will pull away quicker from the starting grid and will accelerate better from corners than the unmodified bike. The Twin sparkplug configuration allows for a much more even burn of the charge thus giving improved efficiency.
We use 10mm short reach (1/2 inch) plugs, in some cases long reach (3/4 inch)
